Plymouth to Las Palmas, via northern Spain and Madeira
29th August – 12th September 2026
Departing from Plymouth, we cross the Bay of Biscay — a milestone for any sailor — before tracing the rugged northern coast of Spain. From there, the winds turn warmer as we head south to Madeira and Porto Santos, enjoying fast ocean sailing in open waters before our final leg to Las Palmas. If the conditions are benign there might be pit stop in the remote nature reserve, the lesser visited 'Savage Islands'.
This multi-stage voyage offers hands-on offshore experience across a variety of conditions: Biscay's swells, Atlantic trade winds, and the approach to the Canaries. You'll stand watch, trim sails, and navigate real passages aboard a capable Oyster 62 designed for performance and comfort.
Perfect for experienced sailors looking to build miles and confidence under professional guidance, this is a passage rich in seamanship, adventure, and achievement.
